Hi, I’m Gerald Thomas, married to the an amazing wife, with 3 children. I’m a bearded dragon owner and content writer from New York. 

I love to write about all things bearded dragons, including their habits, behaviour, and many other topics.

I studied psychology at the University of Cincinnati and I have been a bearded dragon owner for over two years now.

My beardie is named Skittles. He’s 7 years old and very sweet! 

My beardsie is living in a 10 gallon exo-terra terrarium with a heat pad under one of the front feet, and a heat lamp on top of the cage.

I currently work for an IT company in NYC and I love to write about all aspects of bearded dragons.

I have always been interested in reptiles and I was very excited to get my first bearded dragon.

 Skittles is currently the only beardie I have but I hope to start a family when the time is right!

What advice would I give to someone who is getting their first bearded dragon?

The best thing a hobbyist can do is research and find out as much information about their future pet as possible. 

Be sure to know what type of veterinarian you will be going to, what type of food you will feed your beardie, get proper understanding of how often to feed them, etc. 

You should never underestimate the care needed for a healthy beardie!
